If you are running a DNS server, there is a potential DNS vulnerability out right now that affects all computers running public DNS servers.  Microsoft, RedHat, and now Apple have all released security patches for their respective products, so go out and update ASAP.

Firebug - Web Development EvolvedOccasionally, I run across a piece of software that *really* helps my workflow out.  And occasionally that software is free.  My application of choice this week is FireBug.  It is an extension of the venerable FireFox Browser, and seamlessly integrates into the status bar of your favorite FireFox theme.  Unobtrusive, yet exceedingly powerful, this mighty wonder might just change the way that you do your web development.  I give the development team 5 out of 5 stars for their work.  Thank you.

Download Day - English

The Mozilla FireFox browser is one of the best/most compatible web browsers out there for the Windows, Mac, and Linux platforms.  We have used, tested, and verified the security and compatibility of this stellar browser, and found that it outperforms all of it's competition.  Coming soon is the breakthrough release of FireFox 3, the next generation, which combines the reliability and compatibility of its ancestors with improved performance, and over 14,000 enhancements.  Register here to be notified when the release is official, and help the Mozilla foundation reach their goal of setting the guiness book of world records for a software download in 24 hours.

TeamViewer is an application that allows remote access and assistance over the internet.  You can log into a person's computer by having them run a light application on their computer, and then typing in a randomly generated password and session ID.  This traverses NATing and Firewalls, making remote support possible in a way that never was before.  Plus, it runs on both Mac and PCs, making it light, portable, cross-platform, and easy to use.  Kudos to the TeamViewer team for their hard work.  You can download a free trial here: Download
