Employment Opportunity - Network Engineer

We’re looking for a smart, talented individual with strong LAN experience and a desire to be a productive, long-term part of a winning team. This new team member will play a key role in recommending, installing and supporting networks for local business clients. We also have many internal projects including a wireless ISP Service that you will be involved with. Most of the work is done at customer sites during regular business hours, but we’re looking for someone willing to “go the extra mile” whenever necessary. Continuing education and active pursuit of new certifications are encouraged and rewarded.

Our network engineers often work directly with company managers and owners, so excellent verbal and written communications skills and a professional appearance are absolutely required.

Must be very proficient in recommending, implementing, and troubleshooting:

- Windows NT/2K/2003 server operating systems, SCSI, RAID, Active Directory, group policies, roaming profiles, IIS, OS migrations, security, virus detection and removal.

- Windows 9x/NT/2K/XP desktop operating systems, Office 2000/XP and other desktop applications, Windows registry, remote control software, virus detection and removal.

- Ethernet topology, TCP/IP, IP routing, firewalls, DNS, DHCP, NAT.

Requirements:

- 4-year college degree in computer science or related field

- 1+ years of experience installing and supporting Microsoft Windows NT/2000/2003 Server

- Current and verifiable MCSE certification

- Strong Linux Experience

- Strong LAN / WAN security and troubleshooting skills

Other Helpful Experience and Certifications:

- Applied knowledge of Citrix, Avaya VoIP, and/or Veritas (Symantec) products

-Working Knowledge of Linux and Other Open source solutions.

- Experience installing and supporting Microsoft Exchange and / or SQL

- Current and verifiable (ISC)2 CISSP certification

- Recent Linux experience and / or certification
