Computer Connections is a provider of web development services for many businesses.  The candidates for the full-time position of PHP Developer will need to be able to handle multiple projects. This person will be part of a team that is responsible for new web application development.  The PHP Developer will provide expertise in the analysis, design, development, testing, and deployment of new applications and services. The candidate should have the ability to use best-in-class tools, techniques, and processes in the development of applications. The capacity to work with other team members is a must, as are excellent written and verbal communication skills. We are seeking an energetic, self-directed candidate with:

Required:

• Bachelor's degree in CS or equivalent experience
• 2 yrs of web development using current scripting technologies, including 1 years of PHP
• 1 yr experience in XML related technologies
• 1 yr creating database driven web applications utilizing mySQL or MS SQL
• Skills in analyzing and documenting technical requirements and functional specifications
• Open Source Software experience including Joomla, Mambo and others
• Experience participating in defining project requirements and seeing projects through to completion
• Ability to recommend and apply current software engineering methodologies and best practices as a framework for software development and integration projects
• Ability to serve as a technical resource to other group members and the department at large on emerging technologies and trends

          Demonstrated problem solving skills on large and small scale with ability to undertake and complete large software projects with little supervision is a must.
